President’s Message

Greetings, Oakwood Adventist Academy Alumni,

It is both a great honor and responsibility to serve as President of the National Oakwood Adventist Academy Alumni Association (NOAAAA). As a proud member of the Class of 1981, I understand firsthand the lasting impact Oakwood Adventist Academy (OAA) has on our lives, not only academically, but spiritually, socially, and ethically. That shared foundation firmly binds us long after graduation.

I am excited to work alongside our newly elected and energetic officers, and grateful for their enthusiastic willingness to serve. Together, we look forward to strengthening our alumni connections and supporting OAA in meaningful ways.

Our alumni community represents decades of excellence, resilience, and meaningful impact. We are educators, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, artists, parents, mentors, and leaders in our churches and communities. No matter where life has taken us, OAA remains a common thread, one that deserves to be strengthened, celebrated, and preserved.

In the months ahead, our goal is simple and ambitious at the same time: to reconnect alumni with one another, to deepen our engagement with the school, and to create meaningful opportunities for involvement, service, and support. That includes clearer communication, intentional events, and a renewed focus on giving back in ways that truly matter to today’s students.

This alumni association belongs to all of us. Your voice, your ideas, and your participation are not just welcome, they are essential. I invite you to stay connected, get involved, and help us build something that honors our legacy while preparing for the future.

Thank you for your continued love, loyalty and support of NOAAAA. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.

Yours in service,

Lynda Mims Bartholomew
